Session description:

Learn why disaster preparation is important for housing counseling; the potential effects of disasters on communities, agencies and counselors, and the six areas in which housing counseling has played a key role in disaster recovery. Gain a broad understanding of agency disaster preparation and recovery role, including predisaster agency planning, identifying and collaborating with key stakeholders, and recognizing opportunities for disaster recovery housing counseling services.
