Join us for an exciting three-session workshop which will review basic rental counseling and how it applies to the current COVID-19 acts. The workshop will include:

• Explore the national program templates used by federal and state agencies

• Examine basic concepts and eligibility criteria used for affordable rental housing programs 

• Examine legal issues involving landlord and tenant lease agreements 

• Review the usual steps in an eviction process using a generic national eviction model and provide tools housing counselors can use with clients to help navigate eviction challenges 

• Investigate solutions relevant to the current COVID-19 eviction crisis 

• Study the eviction moratorium provisions of the CARES ACT of 2020
