Course 1:
This objective of this course is to provide drinking water treatment plant operators with an overview of the National Primary Drinking Water Regulations. The course covers such essential rules, for example: SWTR; Groundwater Rule; Stage 1 and 2 Disinfectant and DBPR; LCR; RTCR; and Nitrate and Arsenic Rule. Sampling programs, monitoring requirements, PN and CCR requirements of these rules is also included.
Session 1
: November 17th, 1:00pm-3:30pm
Session completion enables water treatment operators to:
• Determine which regulations apply and why
• Understand environmental compliance requirements
• Develop smart strategies for ensuring on-going compliance
• Types of Contaminants: Microbial vs. Chemical
Session 2
: November 18th, 9:00am-11:30am
Session completion enables water treatment operators to:
• Develop and conduct a sampling program.
• Comply with reporting monitoring requirements.
Session 3:
November 18th,1:00pm-3:30pm
Session completion enables water treatment operators to:
• Comply with public notification requirements.
• Prepare a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR)
Continuing Education Units:
• 0.2 - 0.6 CEUs in Oregon
• 0.25 - 0.75 CEUs in Idaho
• 0.5 - 0.75 CEUs in Washington
