Consumer Challenges facing Housing Counselors in the Post Covid Era

Description:
As the nation emerges from COVID-19 economic restrictions and households begin to rebuild their finances, many consumers will seek advice and guidance from HUD-Certified Housing Counselors on a variety of consumer-focused budget imbalances.
Participants will learn:
· An overview of the Federal Stimulus Regulations and Housing Assistance Appropriations
· Helping Consumers deal with common personal finance challenges
· Negotiating with Creditors
· Correcting Creditor reporting with the Credit Bureaus
· Negotiating with Debt Creditors
· Emerging from Federal Student Loan accommodations
· Exiting temporary Mortgage Forbearance programs
· Providing solutions to Consumer Rent challenges
· Keeping Alert for Consumer Scams

This training will be hosted on GoToTraining.
Scholarship & Fees:
Scholarships are available for the first 75 registrants.
You must work for a HUD approved counseling agency to receive a scholarship.
The scholarship code is HCOE.
If you are employed by a for-profit agency, there is a $50.00 per person fee to attend the webinar series.
Registration:
Registration is invalid if this fee is not paid at time of registration.
You must register in advance and have a valid email address to register and receive the course link and materials.
