Description:
One of many skills needed by water treatment operators is the ability to solve water math problems. Dosing a tank or flow, flushing hydrants, and calculating static pressures are all part of a system’s operational needs. Part one of this workshop will cover conversion numbers, pressure, tank and pipe volume and detention times. Part two of this workshop will cover water pipe velocity, chemical dosages, chemical blending, and filtration rates as related to the Water Board Grade I and II certification. This workshop will help the treatment operator navigate these formulas while using a conversion sheet.
Participants will learn how to calculate:
· Volume in cubic feet and gallons
· Pressure
· Chemical dosage
· Detention time
· Sedimentation and filtration
· Flow velocity
Please bring a pen or pencil and your favorite calculator.
The recommended audience includes operators, managers and board members.
This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.
Scholarship & Fees:
Water Treatment Math is a free training.
