The Achieve and Maintain Compliance with SDWA 3-Part training will be held on the following dates and times:


Part 1-Source Water Distribution Infrastructure & Water Quality | November 16 | 10:00AM-12:00PM MST

Participants will learn:

·        Vital components of a distribution system, and how they can impact water quality

·        Potential areas of water quality concern in systems, and ways to improve

 

Part 2-Flushing, Main Breaks & Cross Connections | November 17 | 10:00AM-12:00PM MST

Participants will learn:

·        Preserving water quality when responding to a water main break

·        How cross-connections can impact public health and requirements for cross-connection control

·        Emergency responses for backflow events


 

Part 3-Total Coliform Rule | November 18 | 10:00AM-12:00PM MST

 Participants will learn:

·        Why coliform sampling is important for protecting public health

·        The purpose of sample siting plan, and proper coliform sample collection procedures

·        Factors, conditions, and common issues that can lead to inaccurate results when collecting samples

 

 

Description:

This free 6-hour workshop, spread over three day, trains small system water operators on topics related to compliance with Safe Drinking Water Act.
