Description:
Access to safe water is one of the 10 greatest public health achievements worldwide, and the reduction in death and disease from safe drinking water would not be possible without adequate disinfection. In this workshop, learn about the mechanisms used to safely disinfect drinking water with a focus on chlorination. Topics will include types of chlorine, how it works as a disinfectant, safety and handling guidance, and associated monitoring requirements. Additionally, the workshop will review the different methods of chemical feed and how to appropriately dose your water.
