Housing Counseling Summit

Accreditation:

This training does not qualify for CEUs/credits.

Certificates of completion will be issued.

Certificates will be issued at the conclusion of the event after the post test has been received.

Description:

Our first "Live" Housing Counseling Summit will be happening in Salt Lake City at the end of August. There will be special keynote speakers during the lunch break including Jerrald Mayer, Director for the Office of Outreach & Capacity Building, OHC/HUD and a special session on Wellness.  There will be three days of classes offered so participants can attend more than one course. Each session is three hours.


Participants will have a variety of courses to choose from including:

Breakfast & Lunch: 
Breakfast will be provided at no cost each morning to registered hotel guests. Tuition includes lunch on August 30 and August 31.

Salt Lake City is a very walkable city with many great restaurants and attractions. Our accommodations and classes will be at the Embassy Suites West Valley City which has many restaurants and shops close by and is about 12 miles from the airport.

 

Scholarship & Fees:
Scholarships are available to the first 50 eligible people who register and will include lodging, per diem and tuition. RCAC will select scholarship recipients, and inform them via email. Scholarships will be reimbursed after the event upon submission. 

 

Registration:
Registration status is pending until payment has been received.  To reserve your space, it is recommended you submit payment by credit card at time of registration. If paying by check, please submit payment as soon as possible to complete your registration and reserve your spot, as space is limited. 

 

RCAC Housing Counseling Summit 2022 COVID Policy
All participants must be vaccinated to attend the Housing Counseling Summit. During registration, all participants need to show proof of vaccination, either a physical vaccination card or photo of the vaccination card are acceptable proof of vaccination.


RCAC strongly recommends that all participants use an at-home test kit to test yourself before you leave your home. If you do test positive, please stay home!


Masks are required during the sessions and for all indoor portions of the agenda. Please plan accordingly. We will have additional masks available if you forget yours or need more.


The Hilton CleanStay policy will be followed during the daily breakfast (for register guests only) and the two luncheons included in the Housing Counseling Summit.


If at any time you are not comfortable being in the room with others, you are welcome to step out. No judgment! We all have different comfort levels and do not want to pressure anybody into a situation in which you are not comfortable.


If you’re not feeling well or have fever while you’re in SLC, please isolate in your hotel room and let us know. We will have extra test kits available if you need one.


If you test yourself while in SLC and you test positive, please make sure to isolate in your hotel room and let RCAC staff know.


The following will be provided by RCAC in the classroom:

4. No group activities outside of your assigned table
