June 22 | 10:00AM-12:00PM
This training is being held in Pacific Time.
Description:
Water conservation is a California way of life. Current prohibitions against wasteful water use practices and requirements for monthly water use reporting remain in place. Planning for drought conditions is essential to ensure water supply for public health and safety and to minimize impacts on economics, environment, and lifestyle. This workshop will cover how to implement policies and programs to reduce the vulnerability of the water system by implementing ways to conserve water. Knowing how much water you have and use plays a huge role in drought preparedness and water conservation. Understand the challenges of small systems and how to keep up with current and new drought/conservation regulations.
Participants will learn:
· How a water audit can help you reduce how much unaccounted water you lose & ways to stop it
· How to look for alternate or new water sources
· How to use water meter systems to help you keep track of water use & enforce conservation
· Best practices to reduce water use, making water conservation a way of life in your community
Operator Basics Series: The recommended audience includes operators, managers, & elected officials.
This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.
