Description:
Running a utility in rural Arizona comes with many challenges. Keeping the lights on & the water flowing is a big challenge when you have limited resources.
This training is geared toward small systems with populations under 10,000 in Arizona. Participants will learn how to develop the tools to manage their systems assets and will have the chance to learn about the state & federal resources available to help meet a utility's long-term goals.
Participants will learn:
· How to sustainably manage their water utility to ensure financial stability while maintaining regulatory compliance
Topics:
· Developing budgets
· Building your reserves
· Internal controls
· Rate setting basics
