Description:
In the arid Southwest, there will always be a need for new tribal operators to be stewards of our most precious resource. The focus of this workshop is twofold, to prepare participants to take their operator certification test & to assist current operators in the exercise of their duties. This in-person event will allow participants networking opportunities & the chance to benefit from the collective knowledge in the room.
The operator certification test preparation topics covered:
· Water system components
· Water chemistry
· Disinfection
· Operator math
Participants will have the opportunity to take a mock certification practice test to gauge their knowledge.
Topics covered for the busy operator:
· Consumer Confidence Reporting
· Service Line Inventory Requirements
· Emerging Contaminants PFAS
These topics will allow tribal operators to maintain compliance with safe drinking water regulations, & provide safe water to their communities.
