Description:
Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (OWTS) are used to treat wastewater from homes & return treated wastewater back into the receiving environment. They are typically referred to as septic systems, because most involve a septic tank for partial treatment.
The National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA) & RCAC are hosting an in-person, no-cost training for homeowners so that they can learn more about their system & what maintenance may be needed.
It is highly recommended that individuals attending this training participate in the training the following evening "Train-the-Trainer: Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (OWTS). Click here to register for the training.
Participants will learn:
· How an Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (OWTS) processes wastewater
· Necessary maintenance for typical onsite systems
· How to implement changes in your home to reduce strain on your system
· Resources for solving basic problems with your system
