Description:

It’s been raining for three straight days and your effluent turbidity has just spiked at your water treatment plant. What monitoring and reporting procedures do you follow? What do these new regulations say? Is your treatment method still acceptable? What do you need to report and when? This workshop is designed to help you understand surface water treatment and monitoring regulations by reviewing the basis for current and future regulations.

 

Participants will learn:

·  The Surface Water Treatment Rule

·  Long-Term 1 and Long-Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rules

·  Existing and future water quality monitoring requirements

·  Basic treatment methods and technologies

·  Regulatory reporting requirements

 

Regulations Basics Series: The recommended audience includes operators and managers of surface water treatment facilities.

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.

 

Scholarship & Fees:

Surface Water Treatment Rule is a free training.

 

Registration:

In order to receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered with their own email address & complete an online evaluation at the end of the training.

 

Are you attending as a group, but not watching from your own computer?

Attendees do not need to participate from their own computer/device for the online trainings, but will need to complete an evaluation to receive credit. Your group leader will need to inform RCAC (registration@rcac.org) about attendees who will view sessions as a group prior to session start. The group leader will forward the evaluation to each person who is watching in the group to their email address. Each person must email the evaluation back to RCAC. Each attendee must be registered with their own email. Please note that sign-in sheets NO LONGER validate attendance at online workshops.
