Date & Time:
The Small Water System Management Programs training will be held on the following dates and times:
September 14 | 9:30AM-3:30PM
This training is being held in Pacific Time.
Description:
Safe, reliable drinking water does not happen by itself. Appropriate system planning, design, operation and management make it happen. All water systems are required to have a plan, and some may be able to use the Department of Health’s Small Water System Management Program (SWSMP) template. This training will help board members, managers and operators understand their obligations regarding planning, and will walk you through using the Small Water System Management Program template. An approved plan for the water system is required to be eligible for Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) funding.
Attendees should bring their laptops along with their small water system program for review. Following the Small Water System Programs training session, staff will be available to assist systems individually to review their progress, helping them understand what specific information they may still need, how to add the requested information to the template, and give guidance on how to submit the SWSMP once it is completed.
