Description:

Do you have an active cross-connection control program? If not, it is time to get in the game. Not only are you required to have an approved program, but cross-connection controls provide yet another barrier against water contamination. This learning event is intended to introduce the basics concepts of running a small water system efficiently and effectively.


Participants will learn:

·        Definitions related to cross-connection control

·        Why backflow prevention is necessary

·        Identify methods of backflow prevention

·        Basic inspection procedures

·        Preventing backflow events

·        How to implement cross-connection control program

·        Main breaks

 

Target audience: The recommended audience includes operators, managers, and board members.
