Description:

The supply of water in Nevada requires wise management in an area where water resources are limited, and cycles of drought are common Water conservation has proven to be an effective mechanism for reducing the demand on limited sources of water with the goal of ensuring that the vital water resource is available in the future. Participants will learn:

·        Current water supply and drought information for their region

·        Water conservation measures that can be implemented to reduce water usage

·        How to conduct a water audit and reduce water loss in the water system

·        Education, incentives, and rate structures to promote water conservation
