The Internal Controls training will be held on the following date and time:

Description:
The purpose of this training event is to provide California small water systems with tools necessary to safeguard assets and minimize risks to financial objectives. Many systems lack basic understanding of how to establish processes and procedures designed to improve the reliability of financial reporting and accountability to stakeholders, prevent loss of resources and public assets and achieve budget targets.

This training will be presented to provide managers and governing bodies and basic knowledge and emphasize tools/resources available to understand how to develop adequate internal controls necessary to strengthen the water enterprise's financial health.

Participants will learn how to:

·        Recognize what internal controls are and their importance to financial sustainability

·        Understand the five key elements of internal control

·        Evaluate where there may be gaps in internal controls duties

·        Identify ways to incorporate separation of duties

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.

Scholarship & Fees:
Internal Controls a free training to attend.

Registration:
To receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered with their own email address. An evaluation at the end of the training is also required.

Are you attending as a group, but not watching from your own computer?
Attendees do not need to participate from their own computer/device for the online trainings. Each attendee will be required to register and complete an evaluation to verify their participation. Prior to session start, a Group Leader will need to inform RCAC (registration@rcac.org) which attendees will view the sessions together. Following the training an evaluation is sent to the Group Lead who will be responsible for sharing it with each attendee in the group.
