The Operator Math: Basics & Dosing training will be held on the following date and time:

Description:
How good are you at solving everyday water math problems? In this Deeper Dive workshop, we’ll outline the math formulas for dosing a tank, well static levels and head pressures. Presented as a 2-part online workshop, we’ll cover conversion factors, pressure calculations, tank and pipe volumes, and chemical dosing formulas, using materials related to CA Waterboards Grade I and 2 certifications. Extra time will be devoted to working on practice problems together on each topic, further honing your operator math skills.


Participants will learn:

·        How to approach operator math problems

·        Conversion factors and math formulas

·        Converting distances in miles, yards, feet, and inches

·        Calculating and converting tank and pipe volumes in acre-feet, cubic feet, and gallons

·        Working on problems calculating static well and head pressure

·        Reviewing chemical dosing formulas and using them in online practice problems

 

The recommended audience includes operators, managers, and board members.

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.

Operator Math: Basics & Dosing is a free training to attend.

 

Registration:
To receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered with their own email address. An evaluation at the end of the training is also required.

 

Are you attending as a group, but not watching from your own computer?
Attendees do not need to participate from their own computer/device for the online trainings. Each attendee will be required to register and complete an evaluation to verify their participation. Prior to session start, a Group Leader will need to inform RCAC (registration@rcac.org) which attendees will view the sessions together. Following the training an evaluation is sent to the Group Lead who will be responsible for sharing it with each attendee in the group.
