March 27 9:00AM-12:00PM

This training is being held in Pacific Time

Description:
The wastewater treatment process is complicated fun! There is a lot of material that is not conducive to the wastewater treatment process, so raw wastewater needs to be conditioned prior to treatment. Preliminary treatment can grind, shred, aerate and settle out sand and other grit. Primary treatment (clarifier) can be used to lessen the quantity of BOD/solid while also allowing Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) to float and be removed. The “sweet stuff” in the middle will then be easier to treat with microorganisms in ponds and secondary treatment processes.

This workshop will cover:

·        Comminutors

·        Screens

·        Grit chambers

·        Primary clarifier components and methodology

·        Preliminary and primary wastewater treatment math

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.
