Description:

This is a two-day workshop, presented by RCAC is designed for Tribal Drinking Water Operators to help prepare for the D1/T1 Operator Certification Exams.

 

The purpose of these workshops is to prepare the Tribal Water Operator with the skills needed to pass a state water operator distribution or water treatment exam. This material will also prep any tribal operators planning on taking the exams through the Inter-Tribal Counsel of Arizona certification exams. 

 

Water Treatment - This workshop will focus on the content needed to prepare for the water treatment examination given by the State Water Resources Control Board and the ITCA exam.

 

Topics covered will be:

·        Treatment Exam Expected Range of Knowledge

·        Water sources (wells and surface water)

·        Piping and pumping

·        Water filtration methods

·        Disinfection methods

·        Hydrants

·        Water math including velocity, detention time, filtration, and dosage.
