Description:
Many small public water systems lack the dollars and the manpower to effectively operate and maintain their distribution system.
This workshop will showcase the typical components in a distribution system and explain the proper methods for operation and maintenance for operators and managers of public water systems.
Participants will learn:
· Water sources and water quality issues
· Water distribution system components
· Disinfection techniques
· Distribution system safety
· Water distribution system math
The recommended audience includes water system operators and managers. Board members, council members, and water consumers are welcome to attend as a diverse group of participants should generate good feedback and networking regarding the demands of operating and maintaining a public water system.
