Tuesday, March 5th, 2024

 

9:00AM – 10:00AM Regulatory Overview.

This lesson provides an overview of the updated regulatory rules for distribution systems. Topics covered include the history of public health protection, distribution system health impacts, revised total coliform rule, ground water rule, stage 2 DBP rule, and Lead and Copper Rule.

 

10:00AM – 11:00AM Coliform Sampling.

This lesson focuses on sample collection, why it is important and sample siting plans.

 

11:00AM – 12:00PM Contaminants of Concern: PFAS

This lesson examines the origin and concerns and provides information for small systems about protecting public health.

 

Wednesday, March 6th, 2024

 

9:00AM – 10:00AM Small System Resilience

This lesson discusses AWIA requirements for community water systems serving more than 3,300 persons. Topics include the benefits of using the RCAP/AWWA Small Systems RRA Worksheet, how to conduct an effective RRA field assessment, how to identify gaps in your Emergency Response Plan and identifying strengths and weaknesses in your system’s risk mitigation practices.

 

10:00AM – 11:00AM Manganese

This lesson provides an overview of Manganese, its properties and why it is a concern for water systems.

 

11:00AM – 12:00PM Disinfection/DBP Treatment Strategies.

This lesson discusses various treatment strategies available for Stage 2 DBP Rule compliance.

The registration link on this page will register you to attend both days of the training.

 

To receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered with their own email address. An evaluation at the end of the training is also required.

 

Are you attending as a group, but not watching from your own computer?

Attendees do not need to participate from their own computer/device for the online trainings. Each attendee will be required to register and complete an evaluation to verify their participation. Prior to session start, a Group Leader will need to inform RCAC (registration@rcac.org) which attendees will view the sessions together. Following the training an evaluation is sent to the Group Lead who will be responsible for sharing it with each attendee in the group.
