Description:
In Arizona, spring is preparation for the summer weather. Summer heat presents unique challenges to water operators. The focus of this workshop is to assist current operators in the exercise of their duties and prepare future operators to take the certification test. This in-person training will provide participants with networking opportunities and the chance to benefit from the collective knowledge in the room.
Topics covered for the operator certification test:
· Water system components
· Basic chlorination
Participants will have the opportunity to take an operator certification practice test to gauge their knowledge.
Topics covered for the busy operator:
· Preparing a lead service line inventory
· Lead and copper sampling
· Storage tanks maintenance
These topics will allow tribal operators to maintain compliance with safe drinking water regulations and provide safe water to their communities.
