Description:

The USDA Section 502 Direct Certified Loan Application Packaging course is an advanced course that covers USDA Rural Development's Section 502 Direct (502D) Loan Program and provides critical information on utilization of this homeownership financing resource that can be used to assist potential borrowers.

 

The advanced course will be offered over five days and presented virtually. Through this course, designed for those experienced in processing Section 502 Direct Certified Loan Applications, participants will learn the regulations and practical applications of the loan program.

 

Participants will develop a strong understanding of 502 Direct Certified Loan packaging standards, which will ensure that submitted loan dockets are complete and ready for processing.

 

Participants who attend the training and pass the online exam will be equipped to package 502 Direct Certified Loan Applications on behalf of parties seeking USDA-RD assistance.

Certified Packagers must be employed (employee or independent contractor) by a qualified employer. Qualified employers are affordable housing nonprofit organization, public agency, tribal housing authority, or State Housing Finance Agency that meets the requirements of § 3550.75 (b)(2). They also need to be involved in the 502 direct program certified loan application packaging process.


·       Attending all five days is a requirement to be able to take the certification exam.

Location:

This training will be hosted on Zoom and Moodle with links and additional course information will be sent out 1 week prior to course start date. It is an interactive class and participants will need a computer with good internet connection. Participants will also need a speaker and microphone, which can either be through the computer or a phone, which would need to be in addition to the computer.


Registration & Early Bird Discount:

The fee to attend this 5-day training is $500.

Register before 5/19/2024 to receive an early bird discount fee of $450.

Registration deadline is 5/27/2024 at 11:59 PM or when capacity has been reached.

Cancellation deadline is 5/28/2024 to receive all but the $50.00 process fee. After 5/28/2024 there will be no refunds.
