Description:

Do you cringe when someone mentions the word test? Many operators get nervous about this when it comes to testing. Come learn the basics of water distribution treatment math so you can prepare to take the D1 D2 or T1 T2 test. If you are new to water distribution and treatment and just want to learn the basics we will cover the following:

 

·       Introduction to conversions

·       Pressure to feet and feet to pressure conversion

·       Volumes and detention time

·       Pound formula and the pie chart

·       Draw down and specific capacity

·       Residual=does-demand

·       General operator math

 

We will put information into terms that make it a little easier to understand. In this workshop you will be introduced to the method of laying out a math problem and making it easier to put the numbers in your calculator correctly to get the right answer. We will try to make sure that the math answers make sense when you do use a calculator to figure them out. Come review and practice with us.

 

The recommended audience includes water system operators, maintenance staff, managers and anyone who works on a water systems.
