Description:

2024 is the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). This law created the first every nationwide standard for safe drinking water in the United States. Ever since then, water systems have faced the challenges of meeting these new more stringent drinking water requirements.

This training is intended to provide water system personnel with an overview of the newest drinking water regulations and how they might impact your water system. Many of these new regulations will be addressed in RCAC’s Summer / Fall 2024 training schedule.

Participants will learn:

   • Hexavalent chromium

   • Cross connection control policy handbook

  • Perchlorate

  • Cyanotoxins

  • Manganese NLs and RLs

  • Unregulated contaminant monitoring rule (UCMR5)
