Description:

In this course counselors will gain a full understanding of changes made to HUD’s Housing Counseling Handbook 7610.1- Revision 6, which includes the following:

·        Updated program information

·        Additional guidance on the delivery of counseling services

·        Clarification on record keeping and reporting

·        Updates to standards for monitoring and performance criteria.

Class participants will review the Final Rule requirements for Certification and other program impacts, discuss the agency approval and eligibility toolkits, and gain an understanding of the housing counseling program in addition to access to resources.

Scholarship & Fees:

There is a $75.00 dollar fee to attend the training. Scholarships are not available at this time. 

Refund Policy:

RCAC does not issue refunds for any tuition paid to attend the HUD trainings. Tuition fees are non-refundable, though refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be approved in writing by the Housing Counseling Program Manager.
