The NAWMA Introduction to Water Treatment Chemicals & How They Affect Drinking Water training will be held on the following date and time:

Description:

This training will teach you about water treatment and chemicals and their effect on drinking water. 

 

You will learn about the following:

·        Acids
·        Bases
·        Coagulants and polymers
·        Chlorine vs. chloramine

 

We will have a group discussion - What chemicals do you use and what have been your observations

 

There will be a demonstration on water quality analysis, topics covered will be the following:

·        EC - TDS
·        pH - alkalinity
·        Jar test
·        DPD chlorine reagents (differentiating free vs total)

 

We will have a group discussion - What in-house analysis do you perform and what have been your observations.
