Description:

A crucial part of any Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is to follow through and complete tasks planned. One of these tasks is the replacement and/or installation of new fire hydrants. This workshop will outline the steps necessary to install wet barrel and dry barrel fire hydrants. This includes the initial planning, the installation itself and steps that may need to be taken upon completion of the installation.


Participants will learn:

·        CIP overview

·        Planning for fire hydrant installation

·        Fire hydrant installation

·        Recommended steps to follow upon completion of new hydrant installation

 

Operations Topics: The recommended audience includes water system operators, maintenance staff and managers.


Location:

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.

 

Scholarship & Fees:

Hydrant Installation is a free training to attend.

 

Registration:

To receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered with their own email address. An evaluation at the end of the training is also required.

 

Are you attending as a group, but not watching from your own computer?

Attendees do not need to participate from their own computer/device for the online trainings. Each attendee will be required to register and complete an evaluation to verify their participation. Prior to session start, a Group Leader will need to inform RCAC (registration@rcac.org) which attendees will view the sessions together. Following the training an evaluation is sent to the Group Lead who will be responsible for sharing it with each attendee in the group.
