Description:
A supportive introduction for small water system leaders. Many people join water boards out of a deep sense of responsibility to their communities, often stepping up simply because someone needs to. This training is designed to support those board members by offering a welcoming, interactive introduction to the ethical and managerial aspects of the role. Whether you're new to board service or looking to strengthen your understanding, this session will help you feel more confident in your responsibilities and better equipped to make informed, ethical decisions.
In this training, participants will:
· Review the concept of capacity development across technical, managerial, and financial (TMF) elements and how these elements work together
· Learn about the core duties of board members, including oversight, transparency, and accountability
· Discuss real-world scenarios and practical strategies for navigating challenges and building trust
Who Should Attend:
Current or prospective board members, system managers, and anyone interested in supporting the effective operation of small water systems.
Location:
This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.
