Date & Time:
The Clean Water, Safe Communities: Arsenic treatment Essentials is a hybrid training that will be held on the following date and time:
October 21 | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
This training is being held in the Pacific Time Zone.
Description:
Since the EPA lowered the arsenic MCL from 50 ppb to 10 ppb in 2001, many small-to-medium water utilities struggle to achieve compliance. This online module provides a step-by-step roadmap for meeting the Arsenic Rule, beginning with a concise regulatory overview, moving through cost-effective non-treatment options, and ending with a comparative look at the most common treatment technologies. Participants leave with a practical framework for evaluating, selecting, and implementing the best arsenic-control strategy for their system.
Participants will learn:
· How to summarize the key requirements of the current EPA Arsenic Rule and how they apply to small water systems.
· To compare non-treatment compliance pathways (source switching, blending, well-head treatment) with their cost-benefit implications.
· How to evaluate the performance, operation, and maintenance needs of major arsenic-removal technologies (ion exchange, reverse osmosis, adsorption media, coagulation/filtration) to determine the optimal fit for a given utility.
The recommended audience includes operators, environmental health and safety professionals responsible for drinking-water compliance

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining and will be hosted at the following address:
