This day-long training will cover types of distribution systems and the various components you are likely to encounter in your system, including water mains, valves, hydrants, tanks and more! We will review the basic use and operations of the components, discuss the importance of proper maintenance, and how proper O&M of your distribution system impacts water quality.

Participants will learn:

·        Distribution basics

·        Common components used in distribution systems

·        Best practices

·        Equipment Maintenance

·        Water quality issues and how to resolve them

·        Troubleshooting

·        Safety

The recommended audience includes operators, supervisors, board members and anyone interested in becoming a certified operator.
