New to the water industry? Interested in a career as an operator? Just want to make sure you’re doing your job right? Join RCAC for a Day in the Life of an Operator to learn more about what it looks like to be a water operator. This workshop will highlight the daily activities you may expect to see while working for a drinking water utility, ranging from responding to customer complaints, collecting samples, completing preventative maintenance activities, and planning to keep your system running.
Participants will learn:
· The key responsibilities of a water operator including:
o Operation of water system components
o Importance of proper sampling
o Monitoring your systems daily operations
o Addressing customer complaints
This recommended audience includes new water operators, individuals interested in a career in water.
Location:
This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.
Scholarship & Fees:
A Day in the Life of an Operator is a free training to attend.
Registration:
To receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered with their own email address. An evaluation at the end of the training is also required.
Are you attending as a group, but not watching from your own computer?
If you'll be joining the training as part of a group (watching from the same computer), each group member must still be individually registered and complete the Group Attendance Form before the training begins. This ensures everyone receives proper credit.
