Description:
Financial Foundations for New Utility Staff is an introductory training designed to help new employees understand the core financial concepts that support the sustainability of water and wastewater systems. This session breaks down complex information into simple, practical steps so staff can confidently support day-to-day financial operations.
Participants will learn how utility budgets are built, how to read financial statements, what funders look for during reviews, and how routine financial decisions affect the long-term health of their system. The training uses real-world examples, clear explanations, and practical tools to build confidence and understanding.

To receive contact hours for online trainings, each person must be registered with their own email address. An evaluation at the end of the training is also required.
