We invite you to think about your wastewater system operators and management. How close are they to retirement? Chances are some will be retiring in the next five to 10 years, if not sooner. In tribal and rural settings, younger operators may be difficult to retain or acquire. As existing staff skills improve, the salary and benefits offered by larger systems may become increasingly attractive. It may be in your best interest to start planning ahead and train some new staff for this position. Join us for a discussion about how to develop the workforce that keeps your system running sustainably.

Topics Covered:

·        Learning topics gathered from Trainer

·       Succession, looking around for the next operator

·       What you are looking for in a manager or an operator

·       Budgeting for staff and selling the ideas to the ones in charge of finances

·       Recruitment, within the Tribe, rural area or outside of your area

Location:

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.
