Description:
Managing a small rural or Tribal utility is a challenging enterprise. A sustainable utility must keep an eye on numerous factors including asset management, capital improvement planning, financial planning, regulatory compliance, operation and maintenance, rate setting, to keep safe and healthy water flowing to their communities. Unfortunately, small utilities may struggle with one or more of the vital components to run a sustainable utility.
This workshop is designed for small rural and Tribal utility staff and board members to learn what takes to manage a utility to maximize their assets lifespan.

· Asset management
· Internal controls
· Rate setting basics
