This training is being held in the Pacific Time Zone.
Description:
Source water is the foundation of any drinking water utility. Are you struggling to know where to begin on a wellhead protection program, or didn’t realize your water system needed one? This training will provide a walk-through of the Department of Health’s Wellhead Protection Program guidance and requirements.
We will discuss the information to gather on your water system and the forms needed to fulfill all the required elements of an approved wellhead protection program. All Group A Water Systems that use groundwater or springs as source water must develop and implement a wellhead protection program.
Source water protection not only helps the utilities identify potential risks, but also provides an opportunity to educate others about how their actions can impact source water quality and quantity.
This training is ideal for governing bodies and operators who are responsible for updating their wellhead protection plans every two years or developing a new plan.
Location:
This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.
Scholarship & Fees:
Developing a Wellhead Protection Program is a free training to attend.
