Description:
Public health is the primary concern of water providers, & the only way to ensure your water is safe is to test for possible contamination. Water system sampling can vary from monthly bacteriological sampling to annual nitrate, to triennial VOCs. The “Sampling 101” workshop will review monitoring schedules & site sample plans; provide hands-on sampling practice & discuss reporting; & public notification requirements.
Participants will learn:
· Sampling handling & prevention
· Monitoring schedules(s)
· Revised Total Coliform Rule
· Other system & source tests
· Sampling site(s) evaluation
Target audience: operators, supervisors & managers.
