4 AZ Professional Development Hours

This four-hour online exercise will assess the ability of a utility to respond to a second wave of COVID-19 and mitigate the impacts on its day-to-day operations. During this exercise, we will:

• Collect information related to rural utilities response to the COVID-19 outbreak as it evolved and the pandemic impacts on the operation and maintenance of small systems.

• Identify and share strategies that help to mitigate the pandemic’s impact to operation and maintenance.

• Identify at-risk segments to operations and maintenance of rural utilities.

• Provide participants with the opportunity to assess their own response to the pandemic and identify areas for improved response/preparedness.

• Review EPA’s Pandemic Incident Action Checklist for water utilities.
